Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions of Enrolment

By attending our sessions, the Student agrees to the following terms and conditions. Where the Student is a legal minor, the Parent or Guardian shall enter into this agreement with Learning Space on behalf of the Student and shall accept and agree to all the terms and conditions contained herein.

1. Tuition Policy

1.1 Our tutors undertake to prepare for lessons in advance and structure each session in a way that maximises the benefit to the Student. The Student agrees to assist the tutor by identifying specific areas of difficulty that require targeted support.

1.2 While we follow the NSW curriculum, tutors are not required or expected to complete school homework or assignments on behalf of the Student.

1.3 Assignments, exercises, and homework are integral components of effective tutoring. The Student agrees to complete these tasks in a timely manner. Repeated failure to do so may result in termination of services.

1.4 While we are committed to providing high-quality tuition and have a strong track record of supporting student improvement, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes. Responsibility for academic performance ultimately lies with the Student.

1.5 All materials created by Learning Space or any related entity remain the intellectual property of Learning Space. You agree not to copy, publish, or distribute any part of these materials without prior written permission.

1.6 All Student information is treated confidentially. We will only contact other parties (e.g., teachers, schools) involved in the Student's education with your written consent.

1.7 We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services or materials. The Student (and their parent/guardian, where applicable) waives any and all claims associated with participation in Learning Space programs.

1.8 Photographs may be taken during sessions and used for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website). If the Student does not wish to be included, a written request must be emailed to Learning Space.

2. Fee and Payment Policy

2.1 Tuition fees are determined by Learning Space and are subject to change with two weeks’ written notice.

2.2 Invoices are issued on the first day of each month and include any outstanding charges, as well as fees for all upcoming scheduled sessions. An invoice will not be issued if there are no outstanding fees and there is sufficient credit to cover the month.

2.3 Where credit card details are saved in our secure system, automatic payment will be processed on the date of invoice. This feature can be disabled at any time by emailing a written request to Learning Space.

2.4 All payments must be made in advance, although we are flexible in how payments are made. A surcharge may apply to sessions booked:

  • Without one business day’s notice;

  • After 8:00 pm;

  • On a Sunday or public holiday.

2.5 If a scheduled session falls on a public holiday, it will be cancelled and the fee credited.

2.6 We use Stripe, a secure and encrypted payment platform that complies with international security standards. Learning Space does not store your credit card information on its website or servers.

3. Lateness and Cancellation Policy

3.1 Fees are based on the agreed session times. No adjustment will be made for a Student’s late arrival. If a tutor is late, the time will be made up either during or after the session, by mutual agreement.

3.2 Due to the limited size of our group sessions, we require a term commitment for enrolment in group tutoring. Group sessions cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, or made up. A missed session is considered forfeited. This ensures consistency for students and effective session planning for tutors.

3.3 Cancellations or no-shows without notice will incur 100% of the session fee. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the termination of services.

3.4 For private one-on-one tutoring, we are more flexible. Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

3.5 If a tutor cancels a session, we will offer a reschedule or a credit for the missed session.
